Grand Prix

Spotless catering holds the contract for managing all of the catering for the Melbourne Grand Prix. In order to improve the ascetic of the food vans, Spotless employed the services of Outdoor Elements to build signage hoarding around each group of food outlets.

Each of the major stands has a variety of food outlets located near it. These outlets measure from 30m across to 100m across. Outdoor Elements was engaged to construct a temporary hoarding to cover the entire width and height (4m) for each of the outlets. The hoardings had to convert the individual vans into one continuous, professional restaurant area. In addition to this the Grand Prix Corporation required each of the hoardings to be certified by a structural engineer at the completion of each.

This project involved the recycling of the previous years hoarding materials to reduce the cost of building attractive and structurally sound restaurant facias. Once the hoardings had been certified OE then proceeded to install fascia signage across the width of each hoarding.

The total hoarding construction was in excess of 800 linear metres and was built, painted and fitted with signage within 8 days. At the completion of the project OE then deconstructed the entire lot and returned them to storage for use next year.

This project was hailed as a success by Spotless Catering managers. OE executed the construction and signage in a safe, professional and efficient manner. Our performance in this case has secured our involvement in future events.
